Rukminidevi natyakshetra

Sri S Premnath founded Rukminidevi Natyakshetra Foundation on July 6th 1997 in north Chennai led by passion, philanthropy and dedication to share with society the value of virtuous living through arts. Rukminidevi Natyakshetra started with one student in Bharathanatyam - it is gradually increasing with more than 300 students on roll now. The vision to provide a clear curriculum based system with a certificate course in Bharathanatyam, Vocal, Painting and Musical Instruments has been realised. Over the years, the institution had to shift thrice to meet the changing demands of students and infrastructure.

2007 was a turning point in its progress with the support from late Sri Chandrasekar, Founder of Meenakshi Matriculation School, TVS Colony, Mogappair. Rukminidevi Natyakshetra Foundation functions from this school till date with the support extended by his son, Dr .Giridharan who is also the Chairman of the school. Our institution has 30 faculty members.
